We are a family of 3!!
Well.. Lee is here and is over three weeks old. We are loving every minute of having him. He is perfect. How it all began: I went to the doctor on March 4 and the Dr. said I would need to check into the hospital on March 7 to be induced on March 8. Charlie and I were excited and anxious knowing that our whole life was about to change. We headed home from the Dr. and enjoyed our last weekend as a family of 2. We went out to dinner, both nights, and made sure we had everything packed and ready for the hospital. **On Monday, March 7, Charlie headed to work and I went to school to tell my kids goodbye. I was headed out a weekly earlier than expected. Before we knew it, we were headed to Memphis after school and enjoying dinner at Jason's deli before heading to the hospital. We got checked into the hospital and mom joined us for the night. We all didn't know what to expect and after staying up talking late we headed to bed. 6 am came bright and early and I received the drip. We were hoping this would speed up the delivery but Dr. Crenshaw assured us it would at least be 7 pm that night before Lee would arrive. We were excited as all of our family and friends began to arrive at the hospital. **11:00 am I had all the pain I could handle and was ready for the epidural. WOW it was wonderful... Once the epidural came, Dr. Crenshaw still said I will see you around 7 pm and he was headed to a surgery. Jill, our excellent nurse, checked me at 12:30 pm and I was at 5 cm. **About 1:30 I was experiencing back pain and we had a room full of people but called Jill in. She decided to clear the room and check me... To our surprise I was at 10 and fixing to have baby Lee. Charlie and mom told everyone in the hall to head to the waiting room this baby was on the way. I laughed at watching them run around the room trying to get all the cameras. Dr. Crenshaw was in surgery and Dr. Peeler came in I pushed for 20 mintues and Lee Ligon had arrived. **He is perfect!!! He was born at 2:42 pm weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz and 19 1/2 in. long full of brown hair!! Our lives will never be the same. He is a blessing and we are loving every minute of having him home. ** We got to come home and have several visitors come see our new addition. We are truly blessed by all of our friends and family that came to see him, sent cards, food and all the phone calls. We are home and doing great and look forward to all the years ahead with baby Lee.

4 weeks & Counting
Charlie and I can't express how blessed we are. We have had 3 baby showers and each time we can't believe how much Lee has gotten. We are so thankful to have such great family and friends that are helping us welcome Lee to this world. We still have 2 showers left and can't imagine what else Lee will be receiving.
It's hard to believe that Lee is due a month from this Tuesday. It's crazy to believe that we are about to have a baby boy and our whole life is about to change. We are excited and thrilled and can't wait for him to arrive.
We go to our appts on a weekly basis now and the dr. says everything is looking great and still on target for March 15. I have been extremely blessed to have had a healthy pregnancy (minus the 1st trimester when I was sick as a dog) and Charlie & I can only hope and pray that the delivery goes just a smoothly. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
We will keep you posted!!!!

Merry Christmas
It's hard to believe that tomorrow is Christmas Eve. We have been busy this Christmas break. We started off the break in Gatlinburg for Andy and Rachel's wedding. We are thrilled to have Rachel and Reese join our family. We enjoyed a fun weekend with our family.
We got back to town and headed to a dr's appointment for baby Lee. He is doing great and growing daily. We are now in the 3rd trimester and headed to the docter every 2 weeks. March will be here before we know it. Baby Lee is a VERY ACTIVE baby already. He loves to kick me and play games with Charlie. It's crazy that this time next year we will have a new little one at Christmas. He is already spoiled with a closet full of clothes and toys.
WE hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas and enjoys spending time with their families. Please remember the real reason for the season.
Happy Birthday Jesus!!

Happy Thanksgiving
We are enjoying our week off for Thanksgiving Break. We have so many things to be thankful for this year. God has been good. We are thankful for our family, friends, a healthy baby Lee, our health, our home, our church family, our jobs and much more. We are thrilled to be 3 months away from meeting our little boy, Lee. Each day we are in awe that we are going to have a little boy and it only makes it more real every appointment and everytime we feel him moving and kicking. The other night Lee was busy kicking so I called Charlie over. The next time he kicked was the hardest so far and Charlie swears Lee was giving his daddy a high five. We are loving every minute with this little guy and can't wait to meet him March 15.
During this Thanksgiving break we have gotten so much done and it's only Wednesday. We have purchased Lee's crib and already have it up and ready for him to arrive. We have 2 trees up and ready for Christmas. We have purchased and wrapped several Christmas gifts for our families. Most of all we have enjoyed being off together and resting from a work.
We wish everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving with their families. Remember count your blessings. God is good and we all have so much to be thankful for.

It's a BOY!!!
Charlie and I will be having a little boy in March. We had a great time on Friday at the ultrasound. We were busy planning our family revealment party. We had so much fun. We had a house full of family and close friends. Pepaw Bobby, the only great grandparent living, cut the cake. Once he cut it, he revealed that the inside of the cake was BLUE!! Baby Lee Ligon will be here before we know it.

Time Flies When You're Having Fun
It's hard to believe that we only have one month of summer vacation left. Where has the time gone? We have had a great summer break so far. We've had weddings, a 2 week beach vacation, done somethings in the house, Thirty One parties, softball, river, cheered Will Allen on in All Stars and had plenty of time to hang out with our friends. We will be doing about the same in the month of July. Charlie and I are truly blessed to have the summers off together and enjoy spending time together, most of the time :)
Our garden is growing well. This year we are having corn, purple whole peas, okra, cucumbers galore, squash, bell peppers, banana peppers, and of course Charlie's favorite, tomatoes. We love having fresh veggies.
We start our last class before graduating in December with our Masters. We are thrilled to be almost done.
Off to enjoy the rest of our summer vacation.

Beach Time
We love the beach! This year the beach trip has been a bit interesting with the oil spill thanks to BP and Obama. We are enjoying our last week at the beach with Charlie's family. My family was here the 1st week and we enjoyed laying out, swimming, eating, playing cards, eating, shopping and hanging out. Dad's favorite friend was Milfred during the trip. Charlie and I decided we could get use to living at the beach. We love it here. We have got to eat some great seafood and send time with old friends and family. It's always fun running into people you went to school with years ago.
We have a summer of being lazy and enjoying time off. Remainder of our summer will be spent doing:
** We will be taking one class this summer, that will meet 6 times, to graduate from Bethel in December with our Masters. We are getting to take the class at UU with a good teacher.
**Charlie will attend his summer work sessions for his school.
**Yay we found out tonight that Will Allen made All-Stars so we will definately be making road trips to Jackson for his games. He is so excited!!!
**Keep Emma, Will Allen and the Sammons clan some
** Cut yard and tend to garden
**ENJOY BEING OUT FOR SUMMER!!

Just His Luck!
Well we thought we would make it through this basketball season with no broken bones. No such luck. Last year Charlie blew out both ankles. This year we have moved to the hands. After 6 hours at the docters appointment, he has a broken knuckle. Next week we are headed to the Campbell Clinic with his xrays. Hopefully, we will not have the hear the words surgery or pin in the same sentence. He insist that he will be playing on Saturday with a lot of tape, we will see how that goes. He has to be back to normal he says for softball season which is quickly approaching. I love my husband for still being a child at heart and I'm still his cheerleader.
This weekend I will be judging pageants in Jackson with mom and some friends. It should be fun. Sunday we have a baby shower and I am so excited for my neighbor Grant off the square and his wife Lisa.
We will keep everyone posted on the broken knuckle and our life!!

We Love Snow!!!
We have had a wonderful break from school thanks to the snow!!! We got out of school last Thursday at 3:15 and still have not gone back. Charlie and I have enjoyed spending time together and being off work. Friday, Saturday and Sunday until about 11 am. we were snowed in our house. We enjoyed sleeping in, watching movies, eating, cleaning, eating, taking naps, hanging out with Moe and doing laundry. Around lunch on Sunday, Charlie's dad ventured out to get us and take us sledding for a couple hours. We had a great time sledding on the Bibb's land with Joe and his family. We went sledding, snow skiing, and rode four wheelers. This time was much needed out of our house. We were being to get cabin fever. Sunday night Charlie and I had dinner and movie date night. We headed out to eat Mexican and see When in Rome. Today we enjoyed running errands and getting our taxes filed and complete!!! We are out of school again tomorrow and who knows what the day will hold!!
Thank you snow for a much needed break!! We still have not had a five day work week, but we are not complaining. We are enjoying the perks of being teachers!!

4 1/2 Days and Counting...
We have 4 1/2 days of school left before Christmas Break! Believe me we are counting down the days until our break. We have been very busy since Thanksgiving. We were busy with family here, decorating the house, shopping, and finishing our 2 semester classes. We have completed everything and are enjoying being done with night class for the semester. Last week, Charlie's roommate from college stayed with us for the week and we enjoyed catching up with him. We visited Christmas city and loved all the lights and the scenes from the Bible. Last Friday night we all enjoyed dinner at the Rendevous and hanging out with Jimmy, Daniel and his girlfriend. Saturday we spent the day and night in Jackson for Emma's 3rd birthday. The birthday party was fun and we met the addition to the Smith family, Jingle. That's right my mom and dad now have another puppy. What a great weekend we had!!
This weekend Charlie and I are busy gathering items for our child we adopted this Christmas. We are very thankful that the Lord has blessed us to be able to help a child in need this Christmas from my school. Charlie and I have had fun gathering little girl toys and clothes.
We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Remember Jesus is the reason for the season.

Turkey Day Tradition
We had a great time having the Smith Thanksgiving at our house this year.Charlie and I talked about what all we are thankful for. We are very blessed to have wonderful families, friends, great jobs, and our relationships with the Lord. On Thursday, we had fun visiting with our family and eating some good food. After eating Mom and I decorated the house for Christmas. We did our annual trip to the movies on Thanksgiving night. We all went to see The Blind Side. If you haven't seen it, go see it. It is an awesome movie. Mom, Dad and Andy spent the night with us on Thanksgiving. We had been discussing it all week and we had our alarms set for Black Friday. Mom, Charlie and I ventured out at 4:00 am to Wal-Mart. Andy and Dad sold out on us. We made it to W-Mart and got some great bargains. Mom was lucky enough to get the last flat screen TV. We spent the morning at 2 Wal-Marts, Home Depot and Lowe's. Black Friday was a success for us.
This week we have gotten a lot accomplished. Our Christmas decorations are up, Christmas cards will be mailed this week, and we have 2 people left to buy on our Christmas list. We have enjoyed our Thanksgiving break but it's back to reality on Monday. We have 3 weeks until Christmas Break. We will be counting down the days!!
